Teens Catching Heat For Bad Behavior

Young people have been getting in trouble lately, for incidents ranging from making bomb threats to burglary. And, in Wauwatosa, teens have been the victim of a frightening crime: carjacking.

We've had quite a few stories recently about young people getting into trouble. Here are a few of the biggest incidents involving teenage suspects.

The bullied 17-year-old boy who wrote a bomb threat in a Greendale High School bathroom in an attempt to get the homecoming dance canceled will be spending a week in jail. The judge called the threat a "terroristic act."

An 18-year-old Sussex man was charged with a Menomonee Falls burglary. The teen was accused of sneaking into a home with several friends and stealing change, cash, a computer and collectible dolls.

Four Whitefish Bay Middle School students are facing juvenile charges and school disciplinary measures after they were accused—and caught on video—pulling unloaded bb guns on other members of the basketball team.

In Menomonee Falls, six people were arrested after a fight at the high school. Four of them were students, and the other two were from Milwaukee, called to the fight by a teen at the center of the altercation.

In Wauwatosa, teens have been the victims in a spate of carjackings near the Milwaukee-Wauwatosa border. A 17-year-old girl was pulled from her car after work. Later, three friends of the girl went through the same thing.

Terrorism is destruction{or threat of} of people or property{a school?} by people not acting on behalf of an established government{a lone student} for the purpose of redressing a real or imaginary injustice{being bullied} attributed to an established government{person or group} and aimed directly or indirectly at an established government{person or group} With a full and complete definition you described the Greendale event. Kudos!

Blame the parents. Keep an eye on your kids.

Well, since the parents can't seem to raise these kids right, it takes a court of law to try them as terrorists. Maybe people should start taking more personal responsibility for their own actions.

Bombs, or threats of bombs, are a very serious business. Because the authorities have to take things like that seriously and waste time and manpower checking to see if there is a bomb or not. The sad part is that this young man had been bullied (terrorized) himself but lacked the maturity to respond in an appropriate way.

Here is a definition for you Jamie. Terroristic Threat Law & Legal Definition: A terroristic threat is a crime generally involving a threat to commit violence communicated with the intent to terrorize another, to cause evacuation of a building, or to cause serious public inconvenience, in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience. It may mean an offense against property or involving danger to another person that may include but is not limited to recklessly endangering another person, harassment, stalking, ethnic intimidation, and criminal mischief. If anything is being diluted here, it is your attempt to minimize the serious nature of what occurred.
