Suspected Shoplifter Threatens to Stab Kohl's Employee

A suspected shoplifter told a Kohl’s loss prevention employee he had a knife and would stab him during an incident at Southridge Mall on Oct. 2.

According to the Greendale Police Department, the store employee confronted a male and female, in their 20s, whom he believed were shoplifting at about 9:20 p.m. They ran from the employee, who chased them out the mall’s food court doors.

The employee confronted them again. That’s when the man made his claim that he had a knife and would stab the employee.

The couple fled in a dark blue Toyota Camry northbound on 76th Street.
