Mount Pleasant Woman Punches Driver After Fender Bender, Police Say

The non-reportable crash ended violently after a woman lost her cool in Caledonia.

A fender bender turned into a physical confrontation after a Mount Plesant woman twice punched a woman in the face at 7:20 a.m. Jan. 9 at the intersection of Highway K and Airline Road.

Ashly Wickey, 31, of Mount Pleasant, was cited for failing to yield the right of way, making an improper-overtaking, disorderly conduct and battery. A 24-year-old Racine woman was driving a 2006 Volkswagon Passat. Wickey was driving a 2009 Lincoln, which had very minor damage.

According to a report by the Caledonia Police Department, Wickey, who was driving her car westbound on Highway K, tried to pass the 24-year-old woman, who was also driving westbound on Highway K. Drivers in the right lane are supposed to merge left. The woman had the right of way, but Wickey didn’t yield and cut in front of her.

The report notes that the damage to both cars was “cosmetic,” as the woman crashed her car into the Wickey’s car. Both women got out of her their car and started to argue.

A witness told police that Wickey punched the woman twice in the face. The woman refused medical treatment. Officers also noted that the damage to the Lincoln was really a “scuff mark,” which they wiped away.

The crash was listed as “non-reportable.”

@Caledonia, I apologize for the confusion. I double checked with the PD and a witness told police Wickey was the one who was doing the punching. I initially had incorrect information in the story and fixed the story, but not the deck. Sigh... it's been a long day.

If women want to behave, act like men and demand equal rights, isn't it fair then that men can punch women too?

"Isn't it fair then that men can punch women too?" Punch a woman? NO. Men are better than Women and should behave so. TV teaches the lowest common denominator, and boys raised without positive male role models devolve into feminized thugs and other social misfits. Examples abound in the media. Spend some time at the Chateau.

I'm now the social media/aggregation editor for 1/2 of the Milwaukee sites. I'm still going to cover cops though in caledonia. Heather will take good care of you and I will still be around, but not covering meetings stuff.
