Police: Woman Gave Fake Name

Police say a woman's plan to get out of a bigger ticket by using her friend's license backfired when the friend got notice of the speeding ticket handed out on Halloween.

A woman whose license was revoked for driving drunk got into more trouble when police say she used her friend's license instead of her own during a traffic stop.

Samantha Kitzerow, 23, of West Milwaukee, is charged with obstructing an officer and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

The charges stem from an Oct. 31 traffic stop, when a  Greendale officer stopped a woman driving a vehicle at 45 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The criminal complaint states he issued a speeding ticket in the name of the woman on the ID the driver handed over.

But on Feb. 7, according to the criminal complaint, a woman called Greendale police saying she believed a friend had taken her driver's license, and managed to rack up several tickets—including the Halloween speeding citation in Greendale.

When officers spoke to the woman's friend, the complaint states, she told them she used the other license because hers was revoked for drunken driving and she was scared.
