Police Still Investigating GHS Threat

Greendale Police say they are still investigating the incident, in which a written message threatened that something would happen at the high school on the day of the homecoming dance.

Greendale Police continue to investigate who was behind a threatening message found written in a boys bathroom last week, that indicated something would happen at the high school on Saturday, the day of the Homecoming dance.

As a precaution, the Homecoming dance was moved from Greendale High School to Greendale Middle School. The dance went off without a hitch.

Greendale Police say the investigation into the vague message written on in a boys bathroom is ongoing and there is no new information to report. Police and the Milwaukee County Sheriff' Department did a canine sweep at the school Monday morning, officials confirmed.

All homecoming activites went as planned, with exception of the dance location change and cancellation of the Friday night parade due to rain. Restrictions were in place Friday during lunch, and in the hallways.

Anyone with information about the person responsible for writing this message is being asked to contact Greendale High School Principal Steven Lodes immediately at (414) 423-0110, Ext. 4302. An anonymous tip line is available by calling (866) 373-6227.
