Police Hope to Send Message With St. Patrick's Day Roll Call
Law enforcement agencies from throughout the area are increasing the number of officers on the streets this weekend to crack down on drunken driving.
In a show of force on St. Patrick's Day weekend, area police departments are beefing up patrols and will descend on the Greendale police station Saturday afternoon for a roll call.
Police officers from Greendale, Hales Corners, Greenfield and Franklin will be in front of the station at 3 p.m. to send a message not to drink and drive.
Law enforcement agencies are increasing the number of officers on the street this weekend, with overtime pay coming through several grants through the U.S. Bureau of Transportation and Safety. Results of the metro-wide deployment will be reported Monday.
