Police Blotter: Shoplifting Down; 4 Drunken Driving Cases; Loud Party

These are the reports for May 16 to May 22.

  • A 39-year-old woman allegedly lied to a World Market clerk saying that she left merchandise behind the register over the weekend and that she wanted a cash refund.  The woman never purchased the merchandise.  The refund was given, but the employee later contacted the corporate office and was told that this same woman was involved in several fraudulent transactions over a number of years.
  • A 60-year-old woman on the 8100 block of W Edgerton Ave. was taken to the hospital after she hit her head and was unconscious on Wednesday.
  • A resident on the 6300 block of Schoolway reported on Saturday that a neighboring home has loud parties at night. This is not first complaint against that same residence. The person was advised to call back during the occurring times of the party.
  • A truancy report was taken at Greendale High School on May 16.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

  • A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested on May 16 for drunken driving with a BAC of .11 near the 7000 block of West Grange Ave.
  • A 32-year-old Franklin man was arrested on Thursday for drunken driving with a BAC of .11 near 76th Street and Overlook Drive.
  • A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving on Sunday with a BAC of .17 near Loomis Road and College Avenue.
  • A 17-year-old boy was arrested for reckless driving and underage drinking on Saturday near Sears.

Southridge Mall related incidents:

  • Two retail thefts at Claire’s
  • One retail theft at Old Navy
  • A 19-year-old woman was arrested at Southridge Mall on Friday for receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and resisting an officer.
  • A boy was arrested for theft on Friday after he stole money out two purses that belonged to Boston Store employees.
