Greendale Police Blotter: Mugging at Daffodil Park; Neighbor Arrested for Trespassing

Police reports from October 3 to October 9.

These incidents are part of the call sheet from Greendale police:

  • A man was mugged and threatened with a gun at on Thursday night, Oct. 6. Matthew Bates, 19, allegedly stole $20 from the victim. He was apparently an acquaintance of the victim. Police apprehended Bates around the area that night.
  • A 45-year-old Greendale man was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct on two different occasions on the same day. A woman reported that her neighbor entered her home on the 5300 block of Lilac Lane uninvited on Sunday at around 11 a.m. He was arrested for trespassing. A citation was issued and he was released. He then came back to the woman’s home at around 8 p.m. and was arrested again for disorderly conduct.
  • A woman reported on Oct. 3 that items were stolen from her car while at three days prior.
  • A truancy complaint was reported at on Oct. 3.
  • A suspicious man was reported walking around the bushes near someone’s home on the 5900 block of Churchway on Oct. 3. The 61-year-old man was arrested for public urination and open intoxicants.
  • A 66-year-old woman was found dead in her apartment on the 7700 of Grange Avenue on Oct. 5.
  • A 38-year-old woman was pulled over near the intersection of 76th Street and Holmes Avenue and arrested for driving a stolen car.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested for theft after he attempted to take the cash register at in on Oct. 4.
  • A woman reported that her daughter was stealing from her. The daughter, 18, was arrested for identity theft on Friday.
