Police Blotter: Car Chase into Greenfield, Drug Offense at High School, Selling of Illegal Knives

A 19-year-old man was arrested for obstruction and resisting when he was spotted on Loomis Road and failed to pull over for police. He was finally stopped the on 3000 block of Layton Ave. in Greenfield. Police say he was being pulled for expired license plates and had nothing else on his record.

Selling Illegal Switchblade

• A man associated with Import Chanel in Southridge Mall was arrested on Tuesday Feb. 8 for selling illegal switchblade knives.

Drug Offenses 

• A drug complaint was reported on Feb. 7 at Greendale High School
• An 18-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Southridge Mall.  It was reported that the man and other juveniles were passing a pipe to each other in a vehicle.

Drunk Driving

• A 22-year-old man was arrested drunk driving, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the intersection of Eastway and Serene Court on Wednesday. A 25-year-old man with him was also arrested for open intoxication.

Retail Theft

• A 22-year-old man was arrested on Monday Feb. 7 for theft at Sears at around 3 p.m.
• A 31-year-old man was arrested on Monday Feb. 7 for theft at Boston Store at around 5 p.m.
• A boy was arrested on Tuesday Feb. 8 for theft at JCPenney at around noon.
• A 51-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday for theft at Boston Store at around 2 p.m.
• A 37-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for theft by fraud at Kohls at around 8 p.m.
• A 20-year-old woman was arrested on Friday for theft at JCPenney at around 8 p.m.
• A boy was arrested on Saturday for theft at Sears around 6 p.m.
• Two girls were arrested on Sunday for theft at Claire’s at around 5 p.m.

 Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct

• A girl was arrested on Wednesday at Southridge Mall for trespassing after being banned and for underage possession of tobacco.
• Two 19-year-old women and an 20-year-old woman were arrested on Saturday for disorderly conduct at Southridge Mall.
• A 31-year-old woman and a girl were arrested on Saturday for disorderly conduct at Southridge Mall.

Miscellaneous

• A girl reported neglect by her alcoholic mother on Thursday.
• A truancy report was made at Greendale High School on Friday.
