Police Blotter: Burglary at St. Alphonsus School; Juvenile with Knife at GHS; Animal Complaints

Police reports from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2

These incidents are part of the call sheet from Greendale police:

  • A teacher at St. Alphonsus's School reported to police on September 26 that she had noticed the principal's office had been broken into. Officers responded and a report was filed.
  • On September 26 at 11:09 a.m., a mother reported that her juvenile daughter had run out of the house on Lilac Lane. A missing person call went out and K9 units and mutual aid from four police departments in addition to Greendale responded. A automated smart-call was placed to the community. The juvenile female was located behind a house on Saxony Lane. It was determined she was not a candidate for emergency detention and the girl was returned to her father.
  • A request was made for a welfare check on a woman on Azalea Court for making suicidal statements. The 26 year-old woman stated she would kill herself if police were contacted and also reportedly had punched her boyfriend the day before. Officers responded and a mental evaluation was ordered. The woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and was later released.
  • A 25 year-old Greendale man was arrested on September 28 at 2:26 p.m. at the intersection of Ramsey Avenue and Loomis Road during a traffic stop for speeding and operating-while-intoxicated with a .16 BAC. The man's vehicle was towed.
  • A 50 year-old woman on Woodbridge Drive reported a violation of a restraining order. She indicated a 50 year-old man was texting and leaving voice mails on her cell phone. Police located the man who was put on a police hold and later released.
  • There were two reports of truancy from Greendale Middle School on September 28.
  • On September 28 police responded to a call from Southridge Mall security that a 23 year-old female was causing a disturbance at the Sprint Kiosk. An employee believed the woman had stolen a phone. No formal complaint was filed by the Sprint employee and the property was returned.
  • A Greendale woman stated on September 28 that her neighbor heard from the landlord of a residence on Riverdale Lane that tenants were keeping a one year-old boxer dog in a cage in the basement with dead mice and feces. The report said the dog was being mistreated and fed chocolate. The case was referred to the health department and a report was filed.
  • On September 29 a resident on Churchwood Circle reported that a dog was abandoned by tenants in an apartment on the same street.
  • A 31 year-old man's cell phone and iPad were stolen when he left his bag unattended outside Boston Store at Southridge while he was inside the store. Surveillance footage was secured and a report was filed.
  • On September 29, police responded to a rescue call from Greendale Middle School regarding a student who had taken several pills.
  • A personal injury accident occurred on September 29 at the intersection of Loomis Road and W. Grange Avenue at 4:18 p.m. A 35 year-old man was cited for operating with a suspended license causing an accident and failure to yield while making a right turn. The driver of the other vehicle, a 35 year-old man, was transported for medical treatment. Both vehicles were towed.
  • Police received a call on September 29 at 11:29 p.m. about a mother and juveniles arguing outside a residence causing a disturbance on Riverdale Lane. A 36 year-old woman was cited for noise.  
  • On September 30, police received a call at 11:49 a.m. about a juvenile with at knife at Greendale High School. A male juvenile was arrested for a weapons violation and released to his parent.
  • A green 4-door 1997 Honda Accord was reported stolen from the Boston Store parking lot on October 2 between 12-4 p.m.
