Police Blotter: 4th OWI; Purse Stolen By Force

Read about a man going over a median and driving on the wrong side of the road, another man being arrested for 4th OWI and a woman's purse being stolen by masked men.

These incidents are part of the Greendale police's weekly call sheet from July 12 to July 18.

A woman’s purse was stolen by masked men near Southridge’s food court on July 12. The minivan in which the robbers got into was later located in West Allis.

A 28-year-old Franklin woman was arrested July 14 for drunken driving in the 6000 block of 76th Street. She had a blood alcohol content of 0.22.

People reported that a woman was hitting a small child in the head at Southridge Mall on July 14. The woman was the grandmother of the 4-year-old special needs child and said she was disciplining the child. Police told the mother about the incident.

A man reported $500 in cash missing from his home in the 6100 block of 60th Street on July 14. The money had been stored in a dresser drawer in from his dresser drawer in the 6100 block of 60th Street on July 14.

A 52-year-old Hales Corner man was arrested July 15 for his fourth drunken driving offense near the intersection of West Grange Avenue and 76th Street. His blood alcohol content was 0.18.

A 36-year-old man was arrested July 15 for strangulation and substantial battery. The incident occurred in the 5300 block of Rainbow Drive.

A driver reportedly lost control of his pick-up truck with ladders on top near Grange Avenue and 60th Street on July 15. The truck went over the median and went into the wrong lanes of traffic. The driver then made a u-turn and went into parking lot. The driver, a 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.15.
