One Less Candidate for Police Chief: Tosa Police Chief Withdraws

The number of candidates went down from six to five after the Wauwatosa Police Chief withdrew.

Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber will not be joining the Greendale police force. He told Wauwatosa Patch today that he had withdrawn his candidacy from the search for the chief's job in Greendale because he decided there was still more for him to do in Wauwatosa.

Wauwatosa Patch and Greendale Patch had reported that Weber was for the opening of police chief in Greendale, and at the time Weber declined to comment on his reasons for seeking the job until the process was complete.

Along the list of candidates includes current Interim Chief Robert Malasuk.
