Man Pulls Knife on Dogs, and More from Greendale Police

The elderly suspect pulled out a knife when two dogs approached him, earning him an arrest. Other police calls included drunk teens, and vandalism by food.

These incidents are part of the Greendale police's weekly call sheet from Sept. 8 - Sept 14. 

  • A 71-year-old man was arrested and cited for carrying a concealed weapon on Sept. 8. A woman reported that the man pulled out a knife after her two dogs approached him. The man told the woman and police he used the knife for protection. He did not threaten the woman at any point. Police arrested him near South 60th Street and Morley Drive after he told police he did not have a permit to carry a knife.
  • Two men were arrested for obstructing and resisting an officer at Southridge Mall on Spet. 8.
  • A 17-year-old male was arrested for being drunk behind the wheel and carrying a concealed weapon near Eastway and Sussex Lane on Sept. 9. Two female juveniles were arrested for underage drinking.
  • A woman was punched in the face by her ex-boyfriend at her home on the 6200 block of 51st Street on Sept. 10.
  • A 34-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana near Loomis Road and Radburn Lane on Sept. 11.
  • A 44-year-old man was arrested for trespassing and resisting at Canterbury Elementary School on Sept. 11.
  • A woman’s car window was broken with a soda while a she was stopped on Sept. 12. The woman told police she was in the Southridge Mall lot and was cut off by car with four young males. She yelled at the driver and when she stopped at the light on 60th Street and Edgerton Avenue they threw a soda at her window.
  • An oxycodone overdoes was reported on the 6500 block of Greenway on Sept. 12.
  • A 51-year-old man was arrested for third drunken driving offense with a blood alcohol content of .17 near South 51stst Street and Grange Avenue on Sept. 13.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he deflated the tires of his daughter’s mother’s car on the 6500 block of Greenway on Sept. 13.
