Man Found Lying on Car in Garage he Broke Into, Police Say

A 25-year-old Brookfield man was arrested after police say he was found lying on a woman’s car in a garage he broke into.

Jacob Dubois was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Aug. 14, with criminal damage to property and entry into a locked building, both misdemeanors.

According to the criminal complaint, a Greendale woman who lives in the 5500 block of Arrowwood Street, was awakened at about 4 a.m. Aug. 13, by the sounds coming from her garage. When she got out of bad, according to police, she heard a man yelling, “Where the (expletive) is my stuff.”

When police arrived, they found damage to her side garage door from it being forced open, as well as damage to her car. But that’s not all. A Greendale officer, according to the complaint, also found Dubois lying on top of the victim’s car.

In addition, several items from the garage had fallen on the car, according to police, a knife had been found near Dubois and it appeared that Dubois had urinated in the garage.

Dubois, if convicted, faces a maximum of 18 months of imprisonment, $20,000 in fines or both.
