Man Caught With Drugs During Suspected Shoplifting at Kohl's

Suspect had eight Suboxone strips in his wallet when arrested by police.

A Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught allegedly carrying Suboxone strips in his wallet while being suspected of shoplifting at .

Ryan J. Mueller, 21, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of possession of a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 30 days in jail and $500 in fines.

On Feb. 28, Greendale police were called to  after an employee accused Mueller for being involved with a shoplifting incident at the store. He was arrested and an officer found implements used to steal from retailers along with eight plastic baggies in his wallet each containing strips similar to Listerine strips.

The officer then took the strips to a nearby Walgreens and the pharmacist identified the strips as Suboxone. Mueller admitted the drugs were his and that he didn’t have a prescription for them.

He will make his initial appearance in court March 16.
