Man Accused of Stealing TV From New Greendale Senior Living Complex
Suspect allegedly stole the TV from the community room of the facility the day it opened and is later caught by Milwaukee police with it while driving a stolen car.

A 38-year-old Milwaukee man is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole a television from a Berkshire Greendale, a senior living facility, the day it opened.
Koji Shannon Haskins was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday with one count of burglary. If convicted, he faces up to 12 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:
On May 7, Greendale police officers were called to the after an employee there noticed a TV mounted to a wall in the community room had been stolen. The employee said the facility had just opened and there were many people coming and going, but after reviewing surveillance video footage, they saw a man later identified as Haskins leaving the facility at 12:45 a.m. with the TV in hand.

During the investigation Greendale police officers also discovered Haskins had been arrested by Milwaukee police officers at 2:45 a.m. May 7 after he was caught driving a stolen car. Police found the stolen TV with the car.
Greendale investigators then went to the House of Corrections to talk with Haskins, but he refused to answer questions. Officers then checked his inventory at the jail and found Haskins had checked in a dark flannel shirt, which matched the one of the man in the surveillance video.
Haskins remains in custody while awaiting trial.
