Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting a Disabled Woman at Southridge

The victim, who operates at the level of an 8 or 9-year-old child, was told to come to the mall after the suspect offered her a job at a cell phone kiosk.

A 25-year-old Illinois man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted a cognitively disabled woman outside of after he claimed he was going to give the victim a job at a cell phone kiosk.

Khurram Khan, of Skokie, Ill., was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Monday with one count of second-degree sexual assault. If convicted, he could face up to 40 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

On Jan. 17, Khan told the victim to come to the mall after he offered to hire her to work at a kiosk there, but told her to come alone. The victim, who is 20 years old, is cognitively disabled and functions at the level of an 8 or 9-year-old child.

Khan then had the woman walk with him to his car in the parking lot of the mall, where he began to grope her. The victim told him this made her uncomfortable, to which he replied “you want to work for me but not in my store.”

Khan then pulled out his penis and made the victim touch it and tried to force her to rub it, however, she was able to get away from the scene.

Khan is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail while awaiting trial.
