Home Burglarized While Person Moves Out, Police Say

The burglary occurred while the victim was gone for about 2 ½ hours.

A person moving out of Greendale on Sept. 3, got a rude send-off.

According to the Greendale Police Department media summary, someone broke into the home by removing the weather stripping off the front door and prying the door open while the victim was in between moving trips to and from the home in the 5500 block of Rainbow Drive.

The burglary occurred while the victim was gone for about 2 ½ hours.

The victim reported four bottles of prescription medicine were taken during the incident, which happened at about 10 p.m.
