The department is one of four police agencies in the country to have tried out a police prototype Harley Davidson trike motorcycle.
It was used in the last Presidential Inaugural parade and has to be back in Washington, DC for the next parade.
Until then the Greendale cops have this beauty to help them protect the Village of Greendale.
What makes the bike different? It has three wheels, a wide base, reverse gear and wide trunk space. The bike operates the same way as a regular two-wheel bike, but it’s a lot safer due to its three wheels. It’s hard to knock someone off the motorcycle, said Police Chief Bob Malasuk.
The police have three trained riders who have been testing the bike.
The Greendale logo and graphics on the bike have been donated by Hoopster Performance & Graphics. The bike has been no additional cost for the Village.
