Greendale Police Sub Station in Southridge Mall

Where there is a mall there will be shoplifting and other crimes.are called to Southridge Mall a few times a week and sometimes multi times a day.

Sometime during last holiday season the police put in a sub-station box near the Management offices in the second floor.

Lt. Ryan Rosenow said that police don't do bookings there but use it as a quiet place to take witness statements, have people meet them there, and have access to the computer system.

The box is not manned. Usually an officer will only be found there when they are called into the mall.

Rosenow said there has been talk about manning the station during the holiday season but nothing is "written in stone" yet
