Greendale Police Search for Armed Bank Robber

The man, believed to be white or Hispanic, robbed PNC Bank at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 6, 2013.

An armed robber showed a bank teller a gun and demanded money during a robbery at PNC Bank, 5499 S. 76th St., at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the Greendale Police Department, the suspect is believed to be a short white or Hispanic male with a slim build.

He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, light colored pants, black gloves, a blue bandana covering his nose and mouth, and a Milwaukee Brewers baseball hat, black in color with a red brim. The logo on the front of the hat was a large white letter “M” outlined in white with red outer stitching, and a red Brewers baseball logo. On the back of the hat was a smaller embroidered white “M”.

The subject also carried a black string bag with a yellow drawstring on his back.

The weapon was believed to be a black German military style Luger pistol.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot.
