Greendale Police Blotter: Bus-Stop Shelter Vandalized; Burglary; Ten Counts of Retail Theft

Police reports from December 23 to December 29.

These incidents are part of the call sheet from Greendale Police:

  • December 23, a resident on Spruce Ct. notified police that his credit card had been used in New York by unknown subjects. A report was filed.
  • December 25, at 12:02 a.m., a resident of the 5600 block of Badger Ct. reported a flashing light and an alarm sounding from the second floor on the west side of St. Alphonsus Church.  Responding officers noticed smoke coming from the doorway on the northeast side of the building and felt the door was hot to the touch. Greendale Fire Department responded to the structure fire.
  • December 27, 12:45 a.m., a Milwaukee County salt truck was involved in an accident with another vehicle at S. 76th St. and Edgehill Road. The 53-year-old female driver of a vehicle with Illinois plates was arrested for felony OWI-6th offense and possesion of drug paraphernalia and of a controlled substance.
  • At 8:26 p.m. on December 28 officers responded to a request from a resident on Crocus Ct. for a welfare check on a 46-year-old man who had left a voice message saying he "wanted to end it all."
  • December 28, 6:02 p.m., someone at the Sears store at Southridge Mall reported that a glass pane at the bus stop shelter had just been broken and the suspects had boarded a Milw. County Transit bus. Suspects described as 3 black males and one white female. Officers made contact with four juveniles at the Petsmart lot in Greenfield and arrested one of the juvenile males. 
  • A resident in the 6200 block of S. 51st St. reported on December 28 at 6:10 p.m. that her apartment had been broken into, possibly through a bedroom window, earlier that day. The burglar took video gaming equipment and several games.    
  • Officers responded to on December 29 at 4:50 p.m. to a call from mall security about a fight in the food court area between several Hispanic females.  A 19 year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct.
