Greendale Police Add More Conceal Carry Classes Due to High Enrollment

Two additional classes are being added.

The Greendale Police Department is adding two classes to the schedule due to high enrollment.

There were originally five scheduled classes in November and December with 15 people enrolled to each classes. All classes have been filled.

The department has added two classes in January.

Jan. 7 and Jan. 14, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The curriculum was developed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice and meets all the requirements set forth by the new concealed carry law.

The fee for this one-day class is $100 for residents and $150 for non-residents.
There is an option to fire your handgun at the conclusion of the class at the department range. If you choose to do this, you must bring one box of ammunition in addition to your handgun.

Applications for these classes can be found on the Police Department website or at the or by email request to rrosenow@greendalepolice.org.

Required items for class:

  • Encased and unloaded handgun
  • ammunition 
  • safety glasses (for shooters only)
  • photo ID in the form of Wisconsin ID or driver’s license
  • required fee for the class
  • pen, pencil and notepad
