Greendale Man Found Guilty on Child Sex Charges

Michael Farrell, 50, could spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually assaulting a young girl on numerous occasions from 2008 to 2010.

A Greendale man who sexually assaulted a young girl on repeated occasions appears to be headed for prison.

After a three day trial, Michael Farrell, 50, was found guilty Wednesday of three counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of exposing a child to harmful materials for assaulting the victim on numerous occasions between 2008 and 2010.

Farrell forced the girl to have sex and oral sex while babysitting her at his residence in the 4300 block of West Ramsey Avenue and would make the girl watch pornography.

On at least seven other occasions, the girl told police Farrell drove her to an observation area at Gen. Mitchell International Airport to watch planes land, instead covered the windows of his car with cardboard and forced her to have sex

Farrell will be sentenced April 27. He could serve up to 183 years in prison for the crimes.
