Grandmother Calls Greendale Police on Knife-Wielding Grandson

The grandson was arrested for domestic violence – disorderly conduct while armed and conveyed to the Milwaukee County Jail Facility.

A grandmother told Greendale police her grandson was at the residence and highly intoxicated and at one point was waving knives around sometime around 8 p.m. May 25.

That same day, just after noon, a caller reported his brother had attempted to steal their father’s gun from the residence and believed he was going to try and sell it for drugs.

The caller was able to retrieve the gun before his brother could leave with it.

Those and the following incidents were reported in the Greendale Police Department log for the week of May 25-June 1:

  • A woman was arrested for obstructing and another was turned over to the Menomonee Falls Police Department for a commitment with that agency and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop near South 76th Street and West Edgerton Avenue at 5:30 p.m. May 28.
  • A man was cited for interfering with an officer, speeding and reckless driving after he was pulled over and got out of his car and fled into a Greenfield residence at 8 p.m. May 26.
  • A man was arrested for drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 6000 block of Oriole Lane at 7:30 a.m. May 25. 
  • An adult female was arrested for underage alcohol possession and an adult male for violating absolute sobriety, possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle and parking on West Grange Avenue after a traffic stop just after midnight May 25.
  • Sears experienced incidents of retail theft including one involving a woman who was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia; one with a man who went running toward the bus stop; and one with a woman who had a small child with her. There were also two incidents of retail theft at Kohls and one at Macy’s.
