Former Greendale Resident Accused of Sexually Assaulting Former Step-Daughter

A 44-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted his step daughter on numerous occasions while living in Greendale four years ago.

The man, who isn’t being named in order to protect the identity of the victim, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child less than 16 years old. If convicted, he faces up to 80 years in prison and $200,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

The victim told police during the summer of 2008 she was sick and the suspect would check her temperature on her inner thigh while she was lying on a couch. He then moved his fingers under her shorts and began to touch her genitals.

She also described another incident in 2008 where she was in bed reading a book when the suspect came in to check her temperature again and also touched her genitals. She said the touching continued until he moved out in 2010.

He’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $20,000 bond.
