Fast Food Craving Stops Shoplifters in Tracks, Police Say

Two woman were arrested at Panda Express in Greendale minutes after police say they shoplifted from Southridge Mall.

A woman, who is accused by Greendale police of stealing items from JCPenney at Southridge Mall, was arrested because she apparently couldn’t wait for a bite of fast food after the heist.

According to the Greendale Police Department summary, two woman took items from JCPenney at 8 p.m. Aug. 13, and then made a pitstop at Panda Express on one of the mall’s outlots.

One of the women drove through the drive-thru while the other took multiple shopping bags with her as she went inside the restaurant.

Police stopped the woman in the drive-thru, and both women were taken into custody.
