Children Witness Moms' Southridge Mall Fight

The fight took place at The Children's Place, according to the Greendale Police Department.

Details of a brawl between two mothers at The Children's Place at Southridge Mall, first reported by Greendale Patch on July 8, have emerged.

According to Greendale NOW, the victim was checking out at The Children's Place just before 7 p.m. July 2, with her young child when the suspect arrived at the store, along with her children, confronted the woman and provoked a fight.

The victim told the woman she did not want to fight in front of their children, but the suspect punched her and the fight broke out. Greendale NOW reports the two women told police they have children with the same father and have scuffled in the past.

The initial police summary provided by Greendale Police on July 8 reported the victim suffered a broken nose.

The woman who instigated the fight was arrested for battery and assault.
