On June 11, Greendale police responded to a report of retail theft at Macy’s in Southridge. A store security officer told police he observed Maldonado walk around the store and conceal several items including clothing and perfume totaling $725.

Police say she gave them a false name several times, but eventually admitted to stealing the items and said she is addicted to stealing. The incident was also captured on surveillance video, police say.

Since Maldonado is out on bail in connection with three other retail theft charges, under the condition she would not commit new crimes, she faces the bail jumping charges.
