Arrests Made in Attempted Thefts on Sycamore Street

It is unclear if two incidents that occurred July 28 are related.

A person reported a MacBook Pro laptop, two GPS units and miscellaneous electronics cords were taken from a pair of unlocked cars on Sycamore Street sometime between 10 p.m. July 27 and 5 a.m. July 28, according to Greendale police.

Also on Sycamore Street, a juvenile boy was arrested for attempted theft, prowling and curfew violation after a resident told police her son had stopped the boy while he was rummaging through their vehicle at 3 a.m. July 28. 

Another suspect was arrested for prowling and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

  • A bicyclist suffered facial injuries after being struck by a car near the intersection of 76th Street and Parkview Road at 6 p.m. July 30.
  • A resident on Firnwood Lane told police $350 cash was taken from an upper bedroom in his home sometime between 8 a.m. and noon July 26, the same time a contracted painter was working on the man’s home. The painter was taken into custody for a warrant through the Waukesha County Sheriff’s department.
  • A girl was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at the playground at Scout Lake Park, 6001 W. Loomis Rd., at 9 a.m. July 26. Another girl was counseled and coached and both girls were released to their parents at the Greendale Police Station.
