A 22-year-old Franklin woman is accused of carrying drugs with her while trying to shoplift from a store inside Southridge Mall.
Brittney M. Bohmann was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of possession of a narcotic drug. If convicted, she faces up to 1 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Nov. 16, Greendale police officers were called to Paparazzi inside Southridge after store workers caught Bohmann trying to steal two skirts from the store. When officers arrived, Bohmann was crying hysterically and then taken into custody.
At the Greendale Police Department officers searched Bohmann and found three Alprazolam pills, two Oxycodone pills and one Amphetamine pill. She said she had a prescription for the drugs, but was unable to provide proof.
Bohmann will make her initial appearance in court Jan. 11.
