Obituary: Jared Jerome Neal

Jared Jerome and his family settled down in Franklin and he worked for the Greendale School system.

Neal, Jared Jerome August 5, 2012, Franklin, WI. Born in Zion, IL, November 5, 1924, to Rev. Guy and Margaret (nee Connor) Neal, three sisters and one brother. Survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Irmagard (nee Timmerman) Neal. Son Lance, daughters Randi (Paul) Becker and Jennifer (Tucker). Grandchildren T.J., Cody, Jamie, and Tyler. After the Navy and playing some college football for Nebraska, Jerry met Irmagard, a ballerina, at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago. Soon married they bought a gas station in Great Lakes and restaurants in Kenosha and Mount Prospect, IL. Before moving to Milwaukee with his family he went prospecting for Uranium mines in Colorado. The family settled down in Franklin where Jerry worked for the Greendale School system. Jerry embodied a quiet strength and unwavering devotion to the spiritual path of service. His adventurous spirit, joyful energy and witty humor never abated. A wise teacher and spiritual pioneer for the devoted meditators of the SRF Church of Friendship in Milwaukee. His loving light continues to shine for all he made smile. "Dad, a son's first hero and a daughter's first love"
