Welcome to Trimborn Farm

Trimborn Farm and the Jeremiah Curtin House open hours.

Many of you may know Trimborn Farm as the place where the Harvest of Art and Crafts takes place each September. You may remember stabling your horse or playing here and the Jeremiah Curtin House as a child. Both Trimborn Farm and the Jeremiah Curtin House have long and rich histories in Greendale, Greenfield, and Milwaukee County. The popular Harvest of Art & Crafts and Circle H Riding Stable are only parts of this history.

This blog will provide insight into the history of the two sites, how a historic site runs, as well as letting everyone know about upcoming activities and events - including Harvest this fall.

Both sites were built in the old town of Greenfield, prior to Greendale's development. The Curtin House is actually the first stone house built in Greenfield and one of the first in all of Milwaukee County. Trimborn Farm quite literally helped build Milwaukee County, providing lime-based building materials towards the end of the 19th century.

Trimborn and Curtin are open for tours on a regular basis. The Curtin House is open each Sunday (except holiday weekends), May 15-October 15 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission is $2.00 per person.

The Trimborn Farm grounds are open year-round during daylight hours. The buildings are open May 15-October 15 by appointment and generally at 3pm Monday-Friday. They are sometimes open other hours as well, during special events and programs. It is strongly advised that you call before coming for a tour at Trimborn, just to make sure someone is physically here to give the tour. Admission is $5.00 per person for a tour. There is no charge to walk the grounds except during events.
