Greendale Celebration of Education June 1-Tickets on sale now

Tickets on sale now for the Education Foundation of Greendale annual fundraiser on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Tuckaway Country Club, 6901 W. Drexel Avenue in Franklin.

The Education Foundation of Greendale raises money for technology and educational programs in the Greendale School District. Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up on June 1. Our annual Celebration of Education is Friday, June 1, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Tuckaway Country Club, 6901 W. Drexel Avenue in Franklin.

The Celebration of Education is a fun and informal event where we celebrate the successes of the past year, and honor those who have helped us along the way, including businesses, parents, community members, staff and students.

The Celebration will feature live music from the Greendale High School Jazz Band, raffle items, limited auction items, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. We will present our Inspiration Awards to a community member and a business for their support of Greendale Schools. Today’s TMJ4 news anchor Vince Vitrano will again serve as emcee for this year’s event.

Over the years, the support from so many parents, businesses and residents has enabled the Education Foundation of Greendale to provide extra resources to Greendale Schools that help our students be top achievers, as evidenced by our recent recognition as one of the Best Schools by Milwaukee Magazine. Proceeds from this year’s Celebration of Education will support technology efforts district-wide. As a district, Greendale Schools wants to increase the technology students can use to access information, enhance classroom learning, and become prepared for the next level of technological innovation as they reach the workplace.

We hope you and you families will join us at this year’s very special Celebration. Tickets are $30 each, and can be purchased at Greendale High School, Greendale Park and Recreation Department (5900 S. 51st Street, Greendale), Greendale Visitor Center or on the our website at www.efgreendale.org
