On the Eve Of The Gubernatorial Election The GOP Pulls Out All The Dirty Tricks

Right-wingers are spreading the false message to Dems that they don't have to vote on Tuesday if they signed the recall petition - And strong-armed thugs aim to intimidate in Democratic areas.

Since the restrictive Voter ID law in WI has been temporarily revoked, the GOP is doing all they can to suppress the Democratic vote, both legally and illegally. Legal or illegal - their latest actions have been morally questionable:

On Sunday reports started to come in from all around Wisconsin that those canvassing for Governor Scott Walker were informing residents that if they had signed a recall petition there was no need for them to vote on Tuesday - as their signature was their vote.

shortly afterwords, automated calls, also known as" robo" calls, began inundating Wisconsin residents with the same misinformation - telling them that their signature on a recall petition WAS their vote in the gubernatorial election.

In response to the robocalls Tom Barrett said, "This is a disgusting attack on our democracy and we need your help to fight back. Post this photo to your Facebook timeline and tell your friends that we need every eligible voter to cast a ballot."

Also, The "King Street Patriots," a group of Texas extremists, have arrived in Wisconsin. They believe that voter registration for the poor is "un-American," and would "destroy the country." They already came to Wisconsin once and intimidated recall petition signers -- and now they've dropped so-called "election observers" into polling locations across the state.

And last but not least, Republican Attorney General and Scott Walker bromancer, J.B. Van Hollen announced that he would also be sending field teams to "monitor" polls in mostly Democratic wards.

While the Republicans are sending out mindless liars to thwart democracy and suppress the vote, Democrats are knocking on doors and asking people to go out and vote.

While Republicans send out their clone troopers and strong-armed thugs to intimidate minorities at the polls, the Democrats are sending out moms and their kids, grandparents and their grandchildren and thousands of volunteers (from within the state) to knock and doors and ask people to vote Tuesday.

What a remarkable difference in tactics! One party wants only certain groups of white-washed WASPS to vote and will do anything to suppress the opposition, while one group wants as many people as possible to vote.

Voting should be the easiest thing you do to express your freedom and rights as an American, but not according to the GOP. According to the GOP, in order to vote, you should have to look a certain way, pray to a certain God, believe only certain passages from the Bible, while ignoring others, be a homophobic bigot, have certain colored skin, believe inly certain aspects of science while ignoring others, listen to certain radio stations and watch only certain cable news networks.

Scott Walker may not be personally responsible for the latest disgusting actions by these special interest groups who are lying to the people of WI, but the groups are backing Walker - And the rotten apple does not fall far from the tree.

With GOP-dunce JB Van Hollen as Attorney General, no doubt he will let the "people" behind this disgusting act of voter suppression gone wild to escape shall we say, "Scott-Free" back to whatever southern state or suburban McMansion they slithered in from.

p.s. Go vote Tuesday - no matter what you believe...

Citizens United wiped out 50 years of campaign finance law, thanks to activist, partisan Supreme Court Justices. Until these laws are re-established, attack ads and robo-calls will continue to grow in the attempt to manipulate elections.

I seem to recall that McCain-Feingold opened the door to the attack ads and robo-calls. It was their campaign finance 'reforms' that spawned the high dollar election manipulation...

Got any proof? Don't cry too much, save those tears for later tonight. You guys are smart and stuff and can see though a fake robo call right? Over 1/2 of the signatures are fake anyway so they didn't call anyone but Donald Duck and Hitler.

I believe that Jason Patzfahl is behind these robocalls. His extremist writing and forced dog poopings are only a cover for his true feelings. Rumor is, Jason actual has a crush on Scotty (the pet name he uses). Still locked in his Star Wars dream; he is the Princess Leia to Scott Walkers Hans Solo.

My home land line answering machine is full of election related robo-calls from the last three days;I have received 14 in total, all of them still saved. While I did not get one that said 'if I signed the petition I need not vote', I'm sure multiple people in Wisconsin would have that robo-call on their answering machine and could share it the news. Do any news reports exist with them playing an actual recording of the call?

I guess Jason is too busy to reply to anyone. Maybe he is in the process of moving somewhere to the Land of Liberalism where he can hold his head high.

We can look up to see who signed a recall of their elected official because of grievances, but weRead More cannot look up who donated large wads of ca$h to the same official's campaign...Thank you GOP for turning that window of open accountability into a one-way mirror with the GOP looking out and everyone else stuck looking inward, wandering why we don't get the same vantage point. A bit hypocritical don't you think? And BTW, your GOP budget just ticked off every principal, superintendent and public school family in the state of WI today. Good luck on that second term of negative growth (-0.74).

I think Scott Walker's record speaks for itself in terms of state job growth and misplacedRead More priorities. "Blue fisters" didn't create Scott Walker, he's been a creature of ALEC since the early 1990s. Let's see if he decides to do a Bachmann in 2014. A lot of people who didn't vote in the recall election because they didn't understand/agree may not have voted for him in 2010. Anyone who has a 20-something college grad who can't find a job, male spouse, family member or friend in their 50s who can't find a job, was cut from needed health care benefits, etc., is bound to be looking for better leadership.
