Obama is Begging for a Revolt

Unlike 1776, this one does not benefit the People.

With the current showdown in the US Government, much has been discussed about Obama’s ability to lead.  Many pundits take this opportunity to point out that he has spent his presidency failing to embrace the role of a leader.  Why, has been the speculation of many.  "Is he in over his head, a Jr Senator from Illinois wrapped up in some Democratic messianic promise of a black JFK?" or  "Has he chosen the bystander role, so that if (more likely when) the excrement hits the fan he has the best chance of remaining faultless?"  Those may sound plausible; however, most pundits agree that he is an extreme narcissist which does not jive with either a man lost in the hype or taking a bystander position.

The one thing regarding this president that is most apparent is his desire to use tyrannical methods of governing to achieve his goals.  Whether it be issuing Executive Orders that intentionally bypass the work of Congress, asking agencies to disregard laws enacted by the Congress and using government departments as political tools to weaken his enemies; Obama appears more willing to use leadership tactics of dictators rather than those of an American President.  Thus, I am inclined to disagree with others that claim his is lost in his position or is attempting remain blameless.

This administration has at numerous instances stood before the American people and lied about its actions.  Scandal after scandal that would have toppled the previous president are brushed off as insignificant while they flip the public the bird.  Now, as the congress fails to reach an agreement to fund the government, the President is not interested in solving the problem by demanding everyone come together and put a budget in place; instead, he uses the resources of the government to create prejudiced hardships for American citizens, such as barriers around our open air monuments.  This stands not as a demand for Congressional action, but is a frontal assault on “We the People”.  He understands that his battle for power is not with Congress, but against the American People.

All this talk of leadership has created a misconception, that our traditional view of leadership is Obama’s goal.  This is evident in his willingness to compromise with the dictators of this world while holding a rigid stance with members of Congress that represent ‘We the People’.  The dictators do not lead through the balance of strength and compromise that we have used to identify great American leaders of years past, they lead through fear.  For 5 years, Obama has demonized his opposition, used the government to place unjust pressure on those that challenge his control and has taken crisis as an opportunity to wedge divisions within the citizens of this country.  Through this he has been laying the groundwork for the accumulation of power in both the Executive Branch and in the Federal Government.

Obama needs the American people to rebel against their government and to lose faith in the election process.  He needs to be able to require unconstitutional control over the people under the disguise of protecting the constitution, thus granting himself the authority to dictator like power.  Neutering the GOP by blocking any effort for compromise serves to promote this concept by removing the voice of 'We the People'.  It has an eerie similarity to what our founding fathers faced.

This man isn’t failing to lead, because leadership is not his goal.  This man is accomplishing the destruction of a free country because having complete authority is his goal.  What happens when 80 year old WWII Vets are arrested as they attempt to view a public monument that is supposed to belong to ‘We the People’ and not Barack Obama?

Our president is laying a challenge before us; our freedom in exchange for his power.  Our founding fathers understood that historically, governments always started free and gradually edged toward oppression as men craved power.  We have finally elected that man.  The question becomes, do those elected officials still willing to defend the constitution have the stamina to challenge this president for 3 more years or do 'We the People' need to take this fight to the president ourselves?
