CostumeExpress.com, the family-friendly costume brand of BuySeasons, Inc., is encouraging organizations within the greater Milwaukee area to participate in a Wear Your Costume day in celebration of Halfway to Halloween on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. A donation to benefit Hunger Task Force, Wisconsin’s premier anti-hunger organization, is required to participate.

Participants at the organizations are encouraged to bring a monetary donation or non-perishable, kid-friendly food item to benefit Hunger Task Force during the days leading up to Tuesday, April 30, 2013. In appreciation of their support, they are invited to wear an appropriate costume or accessory on April 30, 2013, the Halfway to Halloween mark, and in celebration of Wear Your Costume day. The goal of this food drive is to help Hunger Task Force stock its shelves in anticipation of the increased food demand in the summer when kids are not in school.

“It’s been a long winter, and this is a great way to add some fun to your work or school day, and, at the same time, help out a Milwaukeean facing hard times. When you donate to Hunger Task Force, your donation will be delivered to local food pantries free of charge,” said Sherrie Tussler, executive director of Hunger Task Force.

“No matter what your age, dressing up shouldn’t be limited to a few times a year. We are championing Wear Your Costume day to celebrate the halfway mark to Halloween and encouraging more fun in everyday life,” said Jason Lockridge, vice president of marketing at BuySeasons, Inc. “We’re excited to capture the delight and creativity of dressing up and helping a worthy cause in our community at the same time.”

As an added opportunity, participants will be able to take 10 percent off their purchases on CostumeExpress.com, and 15 percent of their purchase will be donated to Hunger Task Force when coupon code HTF is entered in the shopping cart at check-out. Coupon code is valid through June 30, 2013; visit CostumeExpress.com for details.
