Residents Honor the Spirit of '76

Residents, elected officials read Declaration of Independence from start to finish to remind all of us what the Fourth of July is all about.

A small group of Greendale residents and area elected officials gathered underneath the flagpole at Village Hall on the Fourth of July to read the entire Declaration of Independence.

The marked the seventh year of the ceremony, which kicked off Independence Day in Greendale. Among those taking part in the reading were state Sen. Mary Lazich and County Supervisor Tony Staskunas.
