Greendale Tour of Original Homes Draws Hundreds

Downtown Greendale was bustling on September 7 as over 300 people toured some of Greendale’s finest “original” homes during the Tour of Greendale Original Homes. The event was organized by the Greendale Historical Society.

“The event was a great success,” said Ted Mainella, Historical Society President. “The feedback has been very positive about all aspects of the tour.”

The event used the historic Hose Tower in downtown Greendale as a gathering point for the event.

“This is another example of the Hose Tower being used as a community gathering place,” added Mainella. “Hundreds of people were in the building, they got to see its potential, and will pass the good news about our preservation project along to others.”
