“Properly disposing of materials that contain personal information is one of the best ways to guard against identity theft, and North Shore Bank encourages our neighbors and friends to take advantage of this free service during our sixth annual Community Shredding Day,” said Peggy Theisen, security officer for North Shore Bank.  “We collected more than 65,000 pounds of documents for secure shredding last year and as people clear out closets, desk drawers and boxes, we hope to collect even more outdated documents for disposal.”

This year, all Shredding Day attendees are also welcome to enter a drawing during the event to win $1500 of free gas.
