Netflix Hiking Up the Prices

Some people are thinking about canceling their accounts.

As the Huffington Post put it, customers can kiss good-bye to Netflix's package of unlimited streaming and DVD rental for $9.99.

Netflix is hiking up their prices.

Before customers were able to receive unlimited streaming for $7.99 and for $9.99 they could also rent an unlimited amount of DVDs at one at a time.

Now customers will billed $7.99 for unlimited streaming and another $7.99 for DVD rentals, totaling $15.98 for the combined services. People will be able to pay $11.99 to check out two discs at a time.

A few customers are not happy about this.

"Looks like I'll be switching to Blockbuster," wrote Jason Dembosky of Greendale on Facebook. A buck more than what I pay now. Check out all the negative feedback on Netflix's FB account. 14,000+ so far!"

Another customer said he will be switching his Netflix plan.

"I barely use the DVDs as it is because I always forget to mail them back or I leave them laying around," wrote Daniel Rivera on Greendale Patch's Facebook account. "Guess I'll just use the streaming and get my Blu-ray movies from Redbox."
