The Women of Margo's Boutique in Greendale

Not too often in life, you have the good fortune to meet someone that changes lives.  Someone with a smile that doesn’t stop, always a good word to say, and has a dog named Angel.  Well, if you’re part of Greendale life, you’ll know I’m talking about Margo Kuehn of & More Margo’s.

I had the honor to spend time with the women of Margo’s yesterday at a Christmas party brunch at the Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park.  There were 8 of us.  When we first sat down, Margo made the statement “I couldn’t have done this without all of you”.  First sign of a great leader.  You remember how you started & appreciate who helped you. 

Each of these ladies has been a Godsend to me for different reasons.  They are an example of love.  Love each other, love your neighbor.  I only hear encouraging words from them.  I don’t hear them tearing apart another person.  I don’t hear them discouraged about life.  These are strong women.  Every one of them.  These are women that I want to be like when I grow up, if that ever happens. 

Our little Vi, who dresses the way she feels, like we all should!  Cute as a speckled pup, our Vi.  Mary Ellen, our entertainer, so involved in the community.  Pat, always an encouraging word for me.  Erica, the other one that has a full time job, but works at Margo’s part time, because she loves being in that atmosphere, just like me.  Sue, another bubbly spirit that has retired & found a new life here.  Lynn & Sandy, always elegant looking, always smiles & kind words.

I have felt so blessed this year to have met each of these strong women.  Just think, Margo is responsible for employing 7 women in town.  That’s a pretty big accomplishment in this economy.  And every one of us would do anything for Margo.  And Angel, well, she’s still in training and we all enjoy spoiling her.  She’ll make a wonderful store greeter one day.
