The Most Stressed Out Worker in the U.S.

Stressed Out Women

I saw an interesting lead-in on World News yesterday, "Who are the most stressed out workers in the United States?".

I wasn't too shocked when I found out it was me. Well, not me personally, but I'm in the category.  Women in their fifties, with a full time job, children, a husband, and a parent they are watching.  How do we do it all?  And at what price?

I can tell you that my adrenal glands probably now look like raisins.  It's not stress that just came about, it's been coming for awhile.  I want to retire.  Right now.  I want to retire from a job that has caused most stress.  Now, I'm not complaining about working, just working at a job that causes most of my negative health issues.  I'm working in a dying industry and I have to sit back & watch it go down the tubes.  That's stressful in and of itself.

My child is 21 now & on her way to her own career.  My mom is still in good health & helps herself most of the time.  I exercise regularly, I have a part time "fun" job, I have a great family, so what is it that causes the stress?  It's the job.  What do other women do?  What is their health like?  Will we make it to the point when we can enjoy life again?  I need to hear from others in that category!
