American Legion Auxiliary distributing "Buddy Poppies" Friday & Saturday

The Greendale American Legion Auxiliary with the assistance of American Legion Post 416 are distributing 'Buddy' Poppies this Friday from 9-9 and Saturday 9-6 at 5 locations:

• Pagasus Restaurant 78th and Greenfield
• Speedway 76th and Grange
• Speedway 60th and Layton
• Genesis Restaurant Hwy 100 and Beloit Road
• Forum Restaurant Hwy 100 and Layton

Each year around Memorial Day American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars volunteers distribute millions of bright red poppies in exchange for contributions to assist disabled and hospitalized veterans. The poppy also reminds the community of the past sacrifices and continuing needs of our veterans. The poppy has become a nationally known and recognized symbol of sacrifice and is worn to honor the men and women who served and died for their country in all wars.
