State Senate Approves December 2013 Special Session Bill Protecting

Today, during a Special Session the State Senate took action protecting thousands of Wisconsinites healthcare from lapsing as a result of the failed implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

The State Senate’s approval to extend Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan (HIRSP) and BadgerCare until March 31, 2014, provides stability to vulnerable residents as they wait for the Federal Government to fix the website and sign up provisions for the Affordable Care Act.
