What Do You Hope To See At The Panther Pub?

The new eatery plans to open in downtown Greendale by the Fourth of July.

"Downtown Greendale's Next Big Thing," as Mike Vickery's Feb. 7 column put it, still has a ways to go before its planned Fourth of July opening.

Local craft brewer and perhaps local vodka and other spirits. There is quite the guild of spirit and brew makers in and around Milwaukee. I hope that their efforts are offered here. It is a great way to foster these upstart businesses and makers.

Make it good craft beer, not just the usual tasteless yellow fizzy water.

David Hardeman:

I second the good craft beer idea. I am tired of having to drive 15min to get a good bar that has decent beer on tap. This is Wisconsin and we do love our GOOD beer.

Owner Mike Drilling says the Greendale athletics-themed restaurant in the Village Center will provide a family experience, similar to a Red Robin or Applebees.

Planned for the former Associated Bank on Broad Street, the restaurant will fit about 95 people and will include a 40-person outdoor dining patio.

What do you hope to see when the business opens its doors? Let us know in the comments.
