Teavana, Tilly's Are Opening in Southridge; Buckle Renovates

Tilly's and Teavana will join the tenant mix at Southridge Mall. These stores are joining other newly open and renovated stores in the mall since the beginning of the $52 million renovation.

Southridge Mall announced the additions of Tilly’s, Teavana and as well as the relocation of Buckle today.

“These new additions and store expansions show the continuous, positive growth in occupancy at the mall,” said Mary Mokwa, Mall Manager for Southridge Mall.  “Throughout this renovation our focus has been examining the multitude of ways the center can offer a diverse tenant mix that improves our family-friendly, contemporary atmosphere.  Each of these concepts will further enhance the vibrant environment found at Southridge Mall. ”

Opening its first location in Milwaukee, Tilly’s is a specialty retailer in the action sports industry carrying clothing, shoes, and accessories for the surf, skate and motocross enthusiast. The 7,000 square-foot store will offer a variety of popular brands including: Hurley, Rip Curl, Vans, Reef and O’Neill for men, women and children. This Southern California concept will be located on the Lower Lever near Macy’s.

Located on the Upper Level near Center Court, Teavana will have a blending tea bar where customers can order a variety of different teas, and a retail store selling loose leaf tea and tea-related merchandise such as tea pots, gifts and accessories. With more than 100 varieties of tea available, the 900 square-foot boutique is a feast for the senses and features a knowledgeable sales staff which both promotes the healthy benefits of tea and demonstrates the best ways to make and serve tea. Flavors range from traditional estate teas to creative blends, using teas, fruits, flowers & herbs.

Buckle will also relocated to a new 5,000 square-foot store from the upper level to the Lower Level near Macy’s. It will have a grand re-opening celebration in November. Buckle offers women and men apparel, accessories and footwear. Denim brands selections include 7 for all Mankind, BKE, Big Star, Rock Revival, Antique Rivet, MEK Denim, Buffalo, Reclaim, Silver Jeans and more.

Southridge also released images of the future Panda Express that will be constructed at the old Leath Furniture location. The old building has already been torn down.  Panda Express will open the restaurant’s first new building prototype in the U.S. at Southridge Mall. 

“The new restaurant models will reflect the Bright and Fresh concept that utilizes bold color accents, natural materials and integrated landscaping and is one of two new designs for Panda Express restaurants,” said Southridge officials in a press release. “The 2,593-square-foot restaurant is known for its high-caliber chefs who prepare fresh and flavorful entrees inspired by the culinary delights of Asia.”

The menu includes entrees like Orange Chicken, Kobari Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Chown Mein and much more. 

Longhorn Steakhouse is also scheduled to be built next to Panda Express.
