Southridge Transformations Can Affect Business For Nearby Malls

The Journal Sentinel reported yesterday some of the affects other malls will experience with the new Macy's addition to Southridge.

Doris Hajewski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Southridge Mall's revamping project might take business away from nearby malls, such as Mayfair and Brookfield Square.

Local retail industry experts told the Journal Sentinel that the addition of Macy's to Southridge and future high-end tenants will detract business from nearby malls, especially during the Zoo interchange construction.

"People will no longer have to drive all the way to Mayfair," Dick Seesel, president of Retail in Focus in Mequon, told the Journal Sentinel.
