Southridge Mall To Open at 3 a.m. on Black Friday

Southridge Mall in Greendale announced today that it will be opening its doors at 3 a.m. on Friday, November 25 to kick off the start of the holiday shopping season.

Retailers traditionally refer to the day after the Thanksgiving holiday as "Black Friday," which has become known as the busiest shopping day of the year. It is also the day stores are supposed to start turning a profit, or 'moving into the black,' to make up for losses earlier in the year.

Last year Southridge Mall opened at 5 a.m.

Here are the Black Friday opening times for the anchor stores at Southridge:

-  Boston Store: Midnight to 10 p.m.

-  JCPenney: 3 a.m. – 11 p.m.

-  Kohl’s: Midnight – midnight

-  Sears: 4 a.m. – 9 p.m.    

Southridge Mall is currently , including the addition of a new Macy's store, which is scheduled to open in 2012.
