Milwaukee County Buses May No Longer Be Welcome Soon at Southridge Mall
Noise and other concerns have mall management considering a change in bus policy.
If you ride a Milwaukee County Bus to Southridge Mall in Greendale, you may have to walk a little farther from the bus stop starting next month. That's because management at the mall may prohibit Milwaukee County Bus Service from operating on mall property beginning in February.
According to a January 12 article in The Business Journal, mall management met with county officials and representatives from the Village of Greendale to discuss the situation.
The owner of the mall, Simon Property Group, Inc., has raised concerns over noise and the frequency of bus service at the mall.

The mall is currently served by four bus routes and a freeway flyer route. There is no firm date yet on when the buses would have to begin operating off-property drop-off and pick-ups.
The situation is expected to come before the county transportation, public works and transit committee on Wednesday.
